A pattern is emerging for Bitcoin which is quite simple and logical. Bitcoin becomes available through mining, and then is traded mostly for currency and some possibly for goods and services. So the cycling of the value of Bitcoin in US Dollars follows a similar trend where Bitcoin becomes available initially at a price - and there are not many buyers. Miners have to profit so the price doesn't move but word got around about Bitcoin and services became available to enable its use. Exchanges, goods, services, and then sales.

There is a problem with modern Australian political discourse at large, actually, there are many problems but essentially all political dialogue in this country is heavily reduced by all sides to chosen piecemeal details of any particular subject. For something as simple as fireworks, debates and discussions will mention all kinds of issues regarding safety and personal freedom but none of which seriously get at the underlying philosophical issues.

This is pretty much the "finished" (I am over with it) save of my Minecraft stuff. There is a lot of stuff here. I called the world Latrobe Valley because it had lots of coal, I live in Latrobe Valley, and it has lots of coal. So it got called Latrobe Valley.

Bitcoin is currently trading in the high 3.xx's and over $4 at times. It is going to be mentioned in TV show The Good Wife according to another blog. With publicity brewing like this and with Bitcoin meeting my earlier expectations a little sooner than I thought - good times are ahead. Publicity is good news for Bitcoin which is still emerging.

It seems recaptcha has some serious issues, and it might just break again because of vulnerability. It seems anyone can just create new keys for johntate.org and shut me down. I might move to Drupal's integrated image captcha but I'd rather something mainstream. Drupal's integrated one is way harder to read.

As everyone knows I support patents, and I need to clarify that I support the idea of patents and not this crazy office that the Americans are running.
You used to have two options: hold a trade secret, or give up a real design and get a patent. When the patent expires, you get a real design. For everything but software the patent office is an engineering Wikipedia of expired patents. Yet with software you can just submit the thought of a design, not actual code (an actual design) that builds the as binary software and so you get to have your cake and eat it too.
