Don't start a thread called Honesty

Well, I decided to stop by my favorite crib of freetards this morning. The forum I checked is specifically anti-Microsoft. A thread was created called Honesty. It had a poll and a simple question: "Do you honestly use Windows? Do you think it qualifies you to critisize it?" My answer follows:

I use Windows but honestly I don't think any of you are in the right space between the poles of stupid and arrogantly intelligent to judge any system. Worker201 is such a dumb fuck his parents were probably twins, he doens't even know how to use Linux or Windows - he just gets forum cunts to do it and they should strike and leave him to suffer or foot the bill. Calum is also pretty thick, but just not quite as thick as a man who lives in an Internet cargo cult of tech support like Worker201.

The most complex pf.conf ever.

Interesting things about this config.
* The two interfaces are on the same physical network. The Modem/Router is a gateway that the FreeBSD machine that runs this configuration accesses, doing NAT between the LAN and the Modem/Router.
* The FreeBSD system runs a transparent squid proxy. Anything addressed for the internet on port 80 is passed through it. SSL is not passed through it. The squid proxy forwards all Application/* mime type stuff to ClamAV. There is also an ad blocker and a very large cache.

Shitty Central Banking and the Alternative, Free Banking.

I do a lot of thinking these days on economic matters. A lot of people can see the obvious hyperinflation coming, with colossal debts, low interest rates, crazy countries like Australia with no formally regulated reserve ratios (yeah thats right slaves, I'm born free), and so on. For those who do not know, its pretty damn simple, I get a dole cheque and then my bank loans it out. Over here my bank could loan it out 500 to one if they wanted. Yet, my account balance still reports my ill gotten money, and then I buy myself smokes and food for two weeks, and maybe pay some bills.

Economic Ideal Graph

I thought I would show off something impressive about Vectorvest and my 'secondary' stock portfolio (its linked to under Where you can find me on the right). I made this graph on Vectorvest which is a typical performance graph. That is a graph that shows percent gain or loss since its start on the 5/2/2007 (when my portfolio didn't exist). It did exist early 2009 however neither use the current strategy, which is much better and has done well already.

It includes: The Dow, Gold, Portfolio A, Portfolio B, VV Composite, OIL.

Internet standards and elitism

As a Libertarian Conservative of sorts I can literally rant for years about all the elitist little bastards in Government. There are loads of elected progressives that consider themselves as the conduits of special wisdom. How about outside of political life however? There is a massive culture of 'Geek knows best' collectivism that is as irrational as the same behavior. The place I see it most is with web standards.

VMware Unity kicks ass

It brings the best software to Linux: proprietary Windows software.

Desk Renovations

My e-penis is huge!

The two monitors have duel inputs, there is a computer to the left that cannot be seen, but if my main computer crashes, or has to do a lengthy filesystem check, I can switch over to a backup instantly.

Conspiracy faggots are faggots.

I am really sick of idiots and there millions of conspiracy theories. As someone who was once one of those stoned idiots I thought I would provide some much needed insight for those baffled by their faulty logic. Conspiracy theories primarily do two things for their adherents: provide an explanation for why they are powerless in the world around them, provide a community which talks about 'rising up' so they feel empowered and less weak.

Ubuntu 9.10: It Still Fucking Sucks

I have taken it upon myself to try the lastest version of Ubuntu. Notable changes include the eyecandy when you boot up and login, and this feature called Ubuntu One that I'll get into shortly. There are very few improvements in this release and it makes me wonder why they bothered at all, rather than just releasing this as an update. Oh, they also rearranged some of the games, by adding a menu for logic games.
